Ivan is the representation of the Russian Federation, or simply Russia. He has platinum blonde hair, purple eyes, a big nose and pale skin. He's usually seen wearing a long khaki coat with a scarf that can be either white or light pink, brownish green pants and brown boots.

As a child, he was constantly bullied by other nations, his sisters Ukraine and Belarus being the only ones that could somehow provide him some love. Anyway, all this bullying thing helped him to become stronger, and now, he is normally the one that scares the others, sometimes just with his single presence.

Ivan likes vodka, sunflowers, matryoshkas, warm places and interacting with others. He's constantly smiling, something that scares some people somehow. He sometimes carries around a pipe which he calls "Magic cane" and uses it just to scare people, rarely for actually hitting them.
